Jan Eike Dunkhase, Dr. Phil., is a cultural historian and has published several books. In 2022, he was a fellow at the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America at Columbia University, New York City.

Thomas Kellein (†2025), a German art historian, author, and curator, has held prominent directorial positions in several institutions. From 1988 to 1995, he served as the director of Kunsthalle Basel. He then assumed the role of director at Kunsthalle Bielefeld, a position he held from 1996 until 2010. Additionally, Kellein was the director of The Chinati Foundation

from 2011 to 2012.

Josef Mugler was a professor of Business Administration, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Entrepreneurship at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria, from 1982 to 2010. Since his retirement in 2010, his research interests have focused on business history and the Adriatic region. In addition to research papers and textbooks, he has also published novels, short stories, and lyrics.

Mira Pavletić, Dipl. Ing. Arch., has spent her entire career in the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage at Brijuni National Park. She has worked on the processing and presentation of Brioni’s rich, diverse, and layered archaeological, paleontological, artistic, and cultural-historical heritage, both movable and immovable, with a focus on the period of Paul Kupelwieser. She has also co-edited several memoirs and works on the history of Brioni in the 20th century.

Luca Pizzaroni is an example of the postmodern flaneur. His work has involved the creation of conceptually based sociopolitical sculptures, pictures, and films that have been featured in museums, galleries, and film festivals around the world.

Rade Šerbedžija is one of the most famous actors from the former Yugoslavia. In his rich career, he has played numerous significant theater roles, from his generationally defining performance as Hamlet in 1974 in Dubrovnik to King Lear, which he has been playing for 24 years on the Brioni Islands. He has also appeared in around 200 films, mostly in leading roles, working with the biggest names in the global film  industry, including Vanessa Redgrave, Tom Cruise, Glenn Close, and Rosamund Pike. He has appeared in the films of famous directors such as Stanley Kubrick, Francesco Rosi, John Woo, Phillip Noyce, and Guy  Ritchie. Rade Šerbedžija has published four books of poems and two books of prose. He has also recorded more than 10 albums and directed one feature film and 12 theater plays. Together with his wife Lenka Udovički and the Croatian writer Borislav Vujčić, he founded the Ulysses Theater on the island of Mali Brijun in 2001. It is still running successfully today.
